For as long as I can remember my dad has talked about Rolex watches, friends have received them as wedding gifts or perhaps on a special birthday because without evening walking into a store and asking 'how much' I think we all have a pretty good idea that we're talking not hundreds but thousands of pounds and hey I wouldn't say no if one were presented to me on my birthday this weekend.
If you are working to a budget then perhaps a preloved watch is something to consider? I am seeing an increasing trend in people buying and selling designer goods from shoes to handbags so why not a second hand watch? My mum often buys seconds hand jewellery and who remembers Carrie giving Big a vintage watch for their anniversary in the Sex and the City films?
Xupes sell a range of high end pre-owned luxury goods, specialising in top-of-the-range watches and is a great place to search for your coveted second hand Rolex. Long gone are the days of buying 'second hand' being frowned upon, your purchase will still provide the same high end experience, only if you're lucky you might make a saving.
I do glance at high end watches when accompanying friends and family on their buying missions but for me the handbag will always win out and I did get lost on the site searching the pre-loved Chanel bag selection and there is even coveted Birkin's available if that is on your wishlist.
Where do you stand on purchasing pre-loved designer goods?
