Beautiful Boudoir - Part 1

As well as re-painting my bathroom Monday I also painted my bedroom this colour

 Whilst living with my parents I wanted a white bedroom and that's what I had at the flat unfortunately due to the rooms size (not that I'm complaining about that!) and shape a large white room just felt cold

I'd been looking at furniture, bedding sets, pictures but I wasn't feeling right with anything I was seeing apart from my coming back to shades of purple - well it is this seasons colour and there's a lot of it around!

Whilst I love my cosy cottage spare room (more photos coming soon!) I felt my bedroom needed a more grown up and elegant feel

The room is so much warmer and darker which is just what I wanted!

If at once you don't succeed!

Sunday evening I decided to finally get on with on with the job of painting my bathroom.... unfortunately it didn't quite go to plan!

I wanted to paint the walls pink but was struggling to find the right shade in bathroom paint. Following some advice I headed to Wickes and came home with this colour....

Unfortunately I hadn't really been paying attention and it what I really meant to get was this one....

Being the impatient sort I decided to persevere with the colour I'd brought - this was a mistake!!

It was practically neon on the walls, thankfully I saw the funny side as it looked like:

Luckily I had Monday off of work so I was able to head back to Wickes and brought the correct colour and the walls have been repainted and look MUCH better!

Having no window in the bathroom it's hard for me to take any photos for you but I will try soon. There are still some finishing touches to be done like hang pictures and then finally a room will be complete

Disney Fun!

Disney on Ice was FABULOUS!

My cousin Beth & I couldn't resist buying ourselves some Minnie ears

but it looks my other cousin William was jealous and wanted to play!

He rated the show 8 and 3/4 which sounds like a thumbs up to me!

Something for the Weekend!

I have a fun weekend ahead of me starting tomorrow with a trip to the Chris Moyles Quiz Show

Then Sunday it's off to the O2 to see Disney on Ice

You may remember I took Rose's daughter last year so I decided it was my cousins turn this time round

Very different days out but I'm sure to enjoy both!

I hope you have fun weekend plans arranged too

It Fit!

I am pleased to report that the daybed fit in my car yesterday and I even managed to put it together myself when I got home

Another eBay purchase is on display and I'm pleased with how my spare room is coming together

Next on the list is putting the curtain pole and some shelves up! 

Daybed Debacle

I told you a couple of weeks ago that I wanted to buy this daybed but so far it's been out of stock every time I've tried to order

Even signing up for the email alerts hasn't helped! As soon as I'm told it's back in stock I'm waiting for the website to catch up and then when I add it to my basket it's thrown out again because it's sold out!

So what was I do? eBay of course!

Tomorrow I'm off to pick up this

Fingers crossed it'll fit in the back of my car!

Paperwork

In the midst of my decorating I've also been sorting through the piles

and piles

of paperwork and magazine clippings I have

 I mean seriously how many variations of a chocolate brownie recipe does one girl need?!

I've decided to give myself this weekend off from decorating and have a day of hair and nails instead ready for a friends baby shower tomorrow - what do you have planned?

More Painting!

After a night out Friday and a lazy day Saturday today I picked up the paintbrush and started work on my spare room

Originally intended as a craft room I've

had a re-think and decided to make it more of a bedroom so now I'm just waiting for this 

to come back in stock

Living alone I have the luxury of crafting wherever I please so thought I was less likely to shut myself away and with my nephew getting older and another little one on the way I liked the idea of having a bed for them should they want to stay round Auntie Victoria's one night

It's going to be a busy month as I'm also decorating my bedroom and bathroom!
