Gift Wrapping

In blogland we all love wrapping our presents in brown paper tied with pretty ribbons don’t we?

I love to add a vintage brooch picked up from a charity shop or boot sale to add a little something extra

sunday 002

Brooches often cost less than pricey paper and tags

This year I’m going to look out for button badges for a more kitsch look for the younger members of my family

Pin It Now!

  1. What a lovely idea. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I like that idea - I think I shall be pinching that one :)

  3. Beautifully wrapped! I wouldnt want to open it, if I got a gift as beautifully wrapped as that :) xxx

  4. What a great idea to repurpose jewelry and it makes the packages look so pretty and sparklie!! Good job!

  5. I have bought my 'Big uns' vouchers for the last 7 or 8 years as they are just too old for me to know what they're into at the time. But I always wrap the envelope up and dress it lovingly...what a great way of making it more personal...I am certainly 'nicking' this idea V.

    Thanks. Love C. xxx

  6. You are always full of little inspirations....I'm ready for more pictures of your place!

  7. What a difference a bit of bling makes, the packaging looks fantastic.

  8. Cool and so classy!

P.S. Thank you for the e-mail you sent me, it made me smile..and I waited for 8 minutes but nothing happened to me! :)

  9. and it looks so lovely too. That's why I use layers of tissue paper for pressies. Looks so pretty, makes a very satisfying rustly sound, and is different to all the M&S and Sainsbury's giftwrap that seems to be used by everyone!

HOpe you can get the Martha Halloween mag, it had some really lovely ideas in it.

p.s am loving your wall colours, your purple looks similar to a colour we have in the bathroom. It's called Chalk Violet by Fired Earth, and is what I call a dirty purple, it's a really relaxing and warm colour. Love it.

  10. Such a fab idea - looks gorgeous! Also, thank you for the well wishes, very kind of you :) xxx

  11. Too pretty, what a clever idea...hugs, Linda

  12. Adorable. And how cool that the brooch is in the shape of a bow!

  13. That is so cute. I might try that this year. It looks lovely. And you are right they are very cheap at charity shops and carboots.
